German Bionic launches wearable, AI-powered exoskeleton

German Bionic announced today that it launched the Exia AI-powered exoskeleton system, its most advanced wearable to date.

Powered by end-to-end augmented AI, the purpose-built, “one-for-all” solution delivers strength, intelligence and adaptability, according to a news release. The company built Exia on billions of real-world motion data points with next-generation hardware architecture and optimized control software.

German Bionic said Exia uses real data from real working environments to deliver up to 84 pounds of dynamic lift assistance. Using the data, it can anticipate user needs and optimize support in real time. Learning from actions and environment, it interprets movement patterns, understands context and adjusts instantly. The company said this delivers effective support whether for lifting, walking, bending or carrying.
