The launch includes VOLT distal radius (wrist) and VOLT proximal humerus 3.5 plating systems. According to a news release, the systems aim to address a critical gap in treating two common fractures. Johnson & Johnson MedTech said wrist fractures account for nearly 20% of all emergency department cases. Meanwhile, proximal humerus fractures rank third among fragility fractures, representing nearly 6% of all adult cases.
Both systems feature the same precision threaded locking technology introduced with the original VOLT platform last year. The design improves stability, enhances performance, expands surgical options and increases efficiency.
