Bausch + Lomb launches intelligent lens-fitting system

Bausch + Lomb announced today that it launched Arise, its intelligent, cloud-based lens-fitting system, in the U.S.

Arise uses cloud-based technology to streamline the orthokeratology lens design process. The system syncs with topographers (a diagnostic tool that streamlines the lens design process) to create precise lens designs in seconds to treat myopia.

Lenses designed by Arise include the first FDA-approved orthokeratology lens design with toric peripheral curves to treat myopia overnight.

Arise uses advanced algorithms to instantly interpret corneal topography images and recommend lens designs in seconds. Bausch + Lomb says it requires no fitting set and works for lens fitters of all experience levels. The system can efficiently evaluate lens centration and patient progress using its overnight outcome map library. It recommends adjustments following overnight wear if needed as well.
