Imperative Care Enhances Stroke Treatment with Dual Aspiration Technology

Launch of Zoom DuoPort enables Continuous Dual Aspiration Technique (CDAT) for safer, faster procedures

Imperative Care has announced the launch of its latest innovation, the Zoom DuoPort, which supports a novel Continuous Dual Aspiration Technique (CDAT) to improve outcomes in ischemic stroke treatment. This new approach allows physicians to use two Zoom Aspiration Catheters simultaneously from a single vacuum source, providing enhanced control and faster clot removal during thrombectomy procedures.

The Zoom Stroke System, which recently received FDA 510(k) clearance, now becomes the first and only platform to offer continuous dual aspiration. Clinical data from the Imperative Trial demonstrated that dual aspiration with Zoom catheters is both effective and efficient, with a median procedure time of just 19 minutes from groin puncture to reperfusion — one of the fastest reported times in major mechanical thrombectomy trials.
