Mountain View, California-based AliveCor launched the new ECG system alongside KardiaAlert, a first-of-its-kind feature. Together, the offering gives users access to technology and tools that offer more detections and insights. They monitor heart rhythm for potential changes over time and alert patients to help them take action.

KardiaMobile 6L Max features in-depth reporting on ECGs, blood pressure and weight data with remote access to board-certified cardiologists, according to AliveCor. The whole package includes an ECG device and a one-year subscription to KardiaCare with the KardiaAlert feature.

Comparing every ECG taken against an established baseline, KardiaAlert scans for potential changes over time — even subtle ones. Some of these aren’t visible in a single recording and can indicate more serious conditions that may lead to a cardiac event. If it detects a change, it sends the data to a cardiologist for further review.
