Casana introduces smart toilet seat that measures blood pressure, heart rate

Casana announced today that it launched the Smart Seat, a smart toilet seat capable of measuring a range of metrics.

Rochester, New York-based Casana says the Smart Seat automatically monitors blood pressure trends, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, and respiratory rate at home. It provides effortless, daily health tracking with nothing to wear, charge or learn.

The new smart toilet seat launch follows the launch of Heart Seat, which measures measures heart rate and oxygen saturation (SpO2), in 2023.

Smart Seat runs on a two-year battery with an installation process that only takes minutes. It also automatically recognizes up to five household members and encrypts health data for sharing only by the user’s choice.
