The new enhancements to the continuous glucose monitor (CGM) aim to transform how users understand their glucose health. Dexcom said it hopes to help Stelo users achieve their long-term health goals through the updates. It plans to launch the new features — including enhanced AI food logging – nationwide in the coming weeks.

Dexcom introduced its AI-powered Smart Food Logging feature for Stelo, the first FDA-cleared over-the-counter (OTC) glucose biosensor, last year. With the feature, the OTC CGM joined the G7 CGM in offering the capability. Smart Food Logging encourages and enables users to log meals more consistently through the use of just a single photo.
