LifeTech Scientific Receives CE MDR Certification for Yuranos Abdominal Aortic Stent Graft System

LifeTech Scientific, a Shenzhen, China-based developer of advanced minimally invasive medical devices for cardiovascular diseases and disorders, has received CE MDR certification for its self-developed Yuranos abdominal aortic stent graft system, which is indicated for endovascular repair of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms and can be used in combination with the company’s G-iliac iliac bifurcation stent system and SilverFlow iliac artery covered stent system

This combination covers the full lesion range from the infrarenal abdominal aorta to the internal iliac artery, making it particularly suitable for complex abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) cases with common iliac artery involvement.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm is defined as a localized enlargement of the abdominal aorta exceeding 50% of its normal diameter, with a maximum diameter exceeding 30 mm as the diagnostic threshold widely adopted by European and American guidelines. If left untreated, the aneurysm can continue to expand until rupture, which carries an extremely high mortality rate, making early screening and timely intervention critical. Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has become the mainstream treatment for AAA due to its advantages of minimal trauma, less bleeding, and faster recovery. However, conventional EVAR techniques have high requirements for aortic anatomy, and complex cases such as severe angulation or short aneurysm necks cannot be effectively treated. It is estimated that complex abdominal aortic aneurysms unsuitable for conventional EVAR account for approximately 25-40% of detected cases.
