The first procedure using the system treated a complex, large anterior communicating artery (ACOM) aneurysm at Neurospitalia Hospital. Prof. Farouk Hassan deployed seven Numen coils with Y-stenting, achieving complete aneurysm occlusion and a favorable clinical outcome, the company said.
Numen is available in 177 specifications and made from ultra-fine platinum-tungsten wire. The device’s 3D design is intended to combine flexibility with support, reducing pressure on the aneurysm wall and accommodating a wide range of aneurysm shapes.
