NightOwl, an FDA-cleared home sleep apnea test (HSAT) offers a simplified, accurate, efficient way to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). It adds another offering to Resmed’s portfolio, which is led by the company’s continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) systems for treating OSA.

San Dieog-based ResMed says NightOwl makes it easy to detect OSA. The small sensor worn on the fingertip aligns with simple, easy-to-use digital platforms for individuals and providers.

A disposable device, NightOwl records up to 10 nights of sleep data for a single patient. It captures night-to-night variability and provides clinicians with a comprehensive view of an individual’s sleep patterns. The device sends sleep data remotely to a cloud-based diagnostic platform for physician analysis and review.
