Senphonix secures NSF grant for SleeveSense wearable development

The grant will assist Senphonix and the University of Arizona in their efforts to strengthen the device’s wireless components.

Senphonix has received the US National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I grant through America’s Seed Fund to support the advancement of its SleeveSense wearable vital signs monitoring platform.

The grant will assist the company and the University of Arizona in engineering efforts designed to strengthen the wireless and radio-frequency components of the patent-pending device.

The objective is to progress from current prototype status to a manufacturable product suitable for broad use.
