Stryker wins FDA nod for spine guidance software

Stryker (NYSE: SYK)+ announced today that it received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Q Guidance System with Spine Guidance 5 software featuring Copilot.

The company said in a news release that this first-to-market technology seamlessly integrates smart-powered instruments into its ecosystem.

Spine Guidance 5 with Copilot provides multiple feedback modalities for supporting bone resection, pedicle preparation and screw delivery. This helps maximize a surgeon’s effectiveness and enhance patient outcomes, Stryker says. The company used feedback from more than 850 orthopedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons to develop the technology.
