European approval comes about five months after FDA premarket approval (PMA) for Zenix. The latest regulatory nod comes as the company undergoes a leadership change, too, with a new CEO taking over on April 1.
Zenix “redefines efficiency, clarity, and intelligence in both EMS and hospital settings,” according to Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based Zoll, an Asahi Kasei company. It built the device on years of feedback from customers, saying it combines intuitive design with powerful functionality.
Zoll says Zenix enhances patient care and automates workflows for ease of use. It features a large, durable touchscreen and provides critical information when needed. The system offers on-the-fly customization, giving healthcare professionals the ability to make real-time adjustments. It also helps them stay in control during high-pressure situations, the company says.
