The preloaded IOL delivers natural, continuous vision from distance to near. Bausch + Lomb says the regulatory milestone reinforces its commitment to equip the right lens to the right patient. LuxLife joins the recently launched enVista Envy full range of vision lenses in the U.S. and Canada and the enVista Aspire intermediate-optimized IOLs in Europe.
Bausch + Lomb designed the IOL with pure refractive optics (PRO) technology. This delivers an uninterrupted, continuous refractive surface across the entire optical diameter. It also has two unique allied ray technology (ART) zones, which control and refocus light rays. The company says these ensure LuxLife doesn’t lose light to the retina, unlike diffractive full-range vision IOLs.
Additionally, the company says the IOL has a broad range of cylinders and enables surgeons to easily select their preferred injection technique with the preloaded LuxLife lens’ versatile dual injector system.
